I'm a writer, programmer, and comedian in New York, sometimes all at once.
As Slate’s assistant interactives editor, I've conceived and created award-winning graphics and games, including some that have been exhibited at museums around the world. I also write about culture (especially humor) and politics (especially LGBT issues), often with the goal of placing controversies in historical perspective.
My other interests range from machine learning to Wagnerian opera. I do my best to jumble the artful and the analytic, the serious and the playful, this sentence.
